Guilt.
Don't tell me you have never felt
That sense of guilt when
You leave the tap running
For you are too lazy to turn it
Off
For even
Just
One
Minute.
Driving big cars anywhere
For even
Just
One
Mile.
Wasting your time thinking of
What to do
Instead of
Just getting your Lazy A**
Up
and Just
Do
Something.
How can you say
You have never felt this way?

Guilt.
Is that feeling you
Hate
Your worst enemy
But it is your best friend
For it is a reminder
That
That drop of water
Can save a child
In Africa.
That drop of oil
For that big car
Is causing a war
Of the millenia.
That hour you
Have just missed
May be
The last You
Have ever
Spent.

See I can't run away
From this Guilt
I have felt
I can't turn away
From the matters
Pertaining
To the world I live in.
I can't back away
From my mistakes
It's give and take
But I can't take
Back
All the disasters
I may have caused.

See you can't run away
From this Guilt
You have felt
You can't turn away
From the matters
Pertaining
To the world You live in.
You can't back away
From your mistakes
It's give and take
But you can't take
Back
All the disasters
You may have caused.

How can you not feel Guilty?
When you see
In your expensive designer
Suits
In your delicious wholesome
Food
In your happy smiles
You
Will see
In that poor child
The pain in her eyes
From the jewels you buy
The painful cries
Of hunger
Her mother dies
I know I
Feel guilty when I
Can only suffer from here
In my
Comfortable suburban home
The only thing I
Have to offer
Are these words
From the top of my
Head
To the tip of my
Tongue
It's all from
The heart.

This Guilt
For all the things
I've ever done
This Guilt
For all the things
Left undone.
barrage of words for this world.
I am guilty.
